Our Story

Neil & Miles

We're a small family business based in the south of France. Neil Gerstenberg, a Google Diamond Product Expert with over 15 years of experience building calendar management solutions, serves as the main developer and consultant. What started as helping Palm Desktop users migrate their data to Google Calendar has grown into a suite of tools trusted by millions worldwide.

As an active contributor to Google Calendar support forums, Neil recognized two key user frustrations: the lack of powerful search and bulk editing capabilities in Google Calendar, and the desire to manage calendar events through spreadsheets. These insights led to the creation of GCalToolkit and Sheets2GCal.

With Sheets2GCal achieving over 8 million downloads and both tools trusted by businesses and local education authorities worldwide, we expanded into the Microsoft ecosystem. Excelendar is a true family collaboration: Neil's son Miles (who has been coding since the age of 7) designed and built the Excel Add-in while preparing for his baccalauréat, bringing fresh ideas and modern engineering practices. Neil contributed the Web App and infrastructure, drawing on years of experience. Together, they created the bridge between Excel and Outlook Calendar that users had been asking for.
